Self-Referrals, Referral Portal & Self-Help Information
Making or tracking a referral
You can submit referral queries using our online platform Footfall. Please click here to request a new referral, or here to track an existing referral.
Referral requests will be treated on an individual basis: we may ask you to book an appointment to discuss the request further, for example to gather more information or perform a physical examination. In some cases, such as long-standing issues which you have already consulted us about, we might be able to make a referral without a further appointment.
The same applies for private referrals, which typically require us to provide just a brief referral letter.
Royal Free Hospital and UCLH patient portals
Patient portal is a secure online system provided by Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust that allows you to view information from your hospital record. You can access My RFL Care from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Registering for the patient portal will help you view and manage your outpatient appointments, view test results, receive secure messages from your care teams, complete questionnaires and receive letters and documents.
